Troubleshooting
Find help for AI Parent on iOS, Android, and the web, including plan generation, credits, Premium and Family access, sign-in, calendar connections, sharing, AI Chat, and games.
Plan generation is taking a long time
Generation time depends on your connection, system load, and request. A request may take a couple of minutes or longer; a delay alone does not confirm that it failed.
- Keep Planning open while a request is running.
- Check your internet connection.
- If you leave and return, check for a running request or a result waiting for review before generating again.
- Avoid submitting repeated requests while a generation is still running.
If the app reports an error or the result remains unavailable, note the message and check your credit balance before requesting another plan. A new generation or regeneration uses a credit. If you are unsure whether a request completed or a credit was used, contact support with the approximate time and what appeared.
How to regenerate a plan
Open Planning. If an unsaved generated plan is waiting for review, select Regenerate to request a new version for the selected person and goal. Each regenerated version uses another credit. You can also edit the result before saving instead of generating again.
To change an already-saved plan, open Profile → person → plan → Edit Plan. Editing its existing tasks or schedule does not use a new generation credit. See Make a plan and Edit a plan.
I cannot generate a new plan
- Make sure you have at least one generation credit remaining.
- Confirm that the selected person and whole account have room within their active-plan limits.
- Free supports one profile and up to 10 active plans; Premium supports up to 40 per person and 160 per account. Both Premium caps apply.
- If using Premium Family, confirm that the invitation was accepted and membership is active. Each member account has its own allowance.
- Check your connection and read any error message before retrying.
Free includes 30 monthly credits; Premium includes 100 per account. A remaining credit does not override active-plan capacity, and deleting a plan does not restore credits already used. See Credits & limits.
Sign-in issues
- Open the mobile app or app.realaiparent.com.
- Use the original sign-in method: email and password, Google, or Apple.
- For email/password accounts, confirm the email address or use Forgot password.
- For Google or Apple, select the same provider account. If you used Apple Hide My Email, continue with Apple.
- Check your connection, reopen the app or browser tab, and try again after reading any provider error.
An unexpected empty account or missing plans may mean you signed in to a different AI Parent account. See Sign-in help before creating another account or buying again.
Premium is not showing after subscribing
First confirm that you are signed in to the AI Parent account associated with the purchase. Then use the instructions for your purchase provider:
- Apple or Google Play: Confirm the matching store account and active subscription, then open AI Parent’s subscription page and select Restore Purchases.
- Stripe / web: Sign in to the AI Parent account used at checkout and select Manage subscription. Check the billing portal’s subscription and payment status, then return to AI Parent.
- Premium Family member: Open Account, check for the invitation, and accept it. Ask the owner to confirm that your membership is current. A family invitation is separate from a profile-sharing invitation.
Check your connection and reopen AI Parent or reload the web app after confirming the status. If access is still missing, send support the purchase provider, AI Parent account email, and purchase reference if available. Do not send full card details or passwords. See subscription help.
I cannot find family membership or subscription controls
The Premium Family owner can open Account → Manage family membership; the web subscription page also has an owner entry. This manages members and invitations. For a Stripe subscription’s billing, use Manage subscription. Apple and Google Play billing changes belong in the matching store settings. See Premium Family.
A member receiving Premium from someone else’s Family plan does not manage the owner’s billing. Review the role and account before looking for owner controls.
A shared profile is missing or I cannot help with tasks
Confirm that you signed in to the invited AI Parent account and accepted the profile-sharing invitation. Ask the profile owner to check whether access is still granted and whether the assigned role is Viewer or Helper. A Viewer has visibility; a Helper can use the supported Task Helper actions. Only the owner manages the profile and sharing. See profile sharing and roles.
Premium Family membership alone does not grant access to another person’s profiles. Request a separate profile invitation when needed.
Calendar connection or sync problems
- Confirm the correct calendar, account, and AI Parent profile are selected.
- Review provider or device calendar permissions and the available sync controls.
- If Apple Calendar access was declined, open iOS Settings, find AI Parent, and review Calendar permission.
- For Google or Microsoft Outlook, check the connected account’s permission status.
- If times look incorrect, compare device and external-calendar time zones.
Options vary by provider and device. Do not assume that disconnecting removes events already written to an external calendar. Follow the calendar integration guide, or use AI Parent’s Calendar View without a connection.
AI Chat or a game is unavailable
- Confirm that Premium access is active on the AI Parent account you are using.
- Update the mobile app or reload the web app, and check your connection.
- For Math Game, review the selected profile, level, difficulty, and available topics. See Math Game help.
- For Seefence, check the available game modes and music controls in the Seefence guide.
AI Chat provides suggestions rather than automatically changing plans. Apply a suggestion through Planning or Edit Plan, then review and save it. See AI Chat help.
Mobile app or browser performance issues
- Update the mobile app or browser, then reopen it.
- Restart the device if needed.
- On the web, reload the page and note any browser error. Check whether your browser is blocking a sign-in or checkout prompt.
- If you need to clear browser site data, first finish or save any work and make sure you can sign in again. Clearing site data can sign you out; it does not delete your saved AI Parent account.
