Effective Date: January 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AI Parent (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the AI Parent mobile application (currently available on iOS and intended to be available on Android in the future). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what we collect and why we collect it.
When we say “personal information,” we mean information that identifies you or could reasonably be linked to you. Some information you provide may relate to a minor (for example, a child’s age or learning goals). In those cases, the information must be provided by a parent or legal guardian (or with their consent) as described below.
What information the app collects
AI Parent is designed so that certain data collection is opt-in. This means the app may function with limited or no data collection in some areas, and you can choose whether to enable certain features that require data to be stored or processed.
If you choose to use features that require saved data (for example, saving a profile, generating plans, or signing in), we may collect and store the information you enter into the app. This can include information such as names or nicknames you provide, ages or grade levels, goals you set, preferences, notes, and other plan inputs. We collect this information so the app can provide continuity, generate recommendations, and deliver a smoother experience across sessions or devices.
The app may also collect basic usage and diagnostic information if you opt in. This typically includes information about how features are used (for example, which screens are visited, how often certain buttons are used, how often plans are generated), as well as performance and reliability information such as crash reports or error logs. This helps us understand what is working, what needs improvement, and how to make the app more stable. We aim to keep this information minimal and focused on app quality.
If you purchase a subscription or an in-app purchase, payments are processed by Apple (and later, by the applicable platform provider for Android). We do not receive your full payment information. However, we may receive subscription or entitlement status information needed to confirm access and provide paid features.
How we use information
We use information collected through the app to operate and improve AI Parent. That includes providing core features such as saving profiles and goals, generating plans and recommendations, preventing duplicate processing of the same request, and supporting your account experience if sign-in is enabled. We also use information to maintain safety and security, to troubleshoot issues, and to communicate with you when you contact support or when service-related messages are necessary.
When AI-generated recommendations are requested, the information you provide (such as goal titles, age/grade, preferences, and other relevant inputs) may be processed to generate the requested output. This processing may involve our servers and may involve trusted service providers that help us deliver AI functionality. We share only what is necessary to fulfill the request and operate the app.
Opt-in choices and controls
Because some data collection is opt-in, you may have choices within the app (and on your device) that allow you to enable or disable certain collection. In addition, you can request that we delete personal information we maintain, subject to reasonable verification and any legal or security requirements. You may also be able to adjust device settings and platform permissions that affect diagnostics sharing, notifications, or other functionality.
To make a request about your data, you can contact us at the email address listed below.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in limited situations, such as when it is necessary to operate the app using service providers (for example, hosting, databases, analytics/diagnostics, or AI processing), to comply with law or legal process, to protect the security and integrity of the service, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition. When we use service providers, they are expected to process information only for the purposes we specify and to apply appropriate safeguards.
Data retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain its security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure. No system can guarantee perfect security, but we work to protect your data and improve our controls over time.
Privacy of minors and parental consent
AI Parent is intended for adults and families, and any information about a minor must be provided by a parent or legal guardian, or with their consent. By entering a child’s information into the app, you represent that you are the parent/legal guardian or that you have appropriate permission to provide that information.
We handle minors’ information with care and strive to follow applicable privacy laws and requirements relating to minors under the age of 18, including using the data only to provide app functionality and not selling it. If you are a parent or guardian and would like to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information relating to a minor, you may contact us at the address below.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA) Compliance
We are fully compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (“COPPA”), which is designed to protect children under the age of 13 from having their personal information collected online without appropriate safeguards and parental consent. AI Parent is not intended for children to use on their own without a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps, including deletion where applicable.
Privacy Policy for the Website
Our website is intended to provide information about AI Parent and direct users to download the app. At this time, we do not intentionally collect personal information through the website, such as through account creation, marketing forms, or newsletter sign-ups.
That said, like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically process basic technical information in server logs (for example, IP address, browser type, and access timestamps) for operational and security purposes. We do not currently use the website to build user profiles, sell data, or track users for targeted advertising.
If our website changes in the future in a way that involves collecting personal information (for example, adding a contact form or analytics tools), we will update this section and the Effective Date accordingly.
